Tell us about your business, what services do you offer?

I run an independent travel agency called Hedge Travel and have been booking holidays for clients for over 5 years. I work with all the big name operators, airlines and hotels and put together itineraries to suit my clients requirements. I plan lots of luxury family holidays and honeymoons, building bespoke multi destination itineraries and also booking amazing value package holidays.

What is your greatest business achievement so far?

My greatest business achievement so far is winning Hitched UK Recommended supplier for honeymoons for 2 years in a row!

What do you want to achieve next?

I would like my business to double in sales and achieve a high repeat booking rate as well as take on 100 new clients in the next year.

What one piece of advice would you like to offer someone thinking of entering into your field?

We are a very resilient industry, especially after Covid where most of our business was lost and refunded but trust me when I say, TRAVEL IS BACK! People are more desperate now than ever to have a holiday. Despite the cost of living crisis and the increase in holiday prices, booking holidays is still really high on people’s priorities and they are planning ahead to get the best value for money. It is a great industry with lots of perks but there are a lot of things that could go wrong that are mostly out of your control.

What is your favourite aspect about working in the local area?

The clients I have from the local area have very good and specific requirements which makes it easier for me to pin point what they need and find the right resorts for them. They also have great taste so I feel confident booking them gorgeous holidays which I get super jealous of!

What encouraged you to join Hampstead Hive and what has your experience within the Hive been like so far?

I wanted to be part of a network in the local area which celebrated and promoted local businesses and it has been great. I have met lots of lovely women and am enjoying seeing their businesses succeed with the help of Hampstead Hive and its members.
