WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST BUSINESS ACHIEVMENT SO FAR?
As a face painting business, our greatest achievement is undoubtedly the happiness that we bring to children. There's nothing quite like seeing the pure joy and wonder on a child's face as they look in the mirror and see a beautiful butterfly, a fierce tiger, or a glittering princess staring back at them. It's a magical moment that we're privileged to be a part of every day, and it's what motivates us to do what we do.
We love nothing more than making children smile, and we take great pride in the quality of our work. WHAT DO YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE NEXT?
Although we already have balloon modellers, caricature artists, henna artists and stilt walkers working with us, we have yet to make their services official. However, we plan to explore further and expand our offerings in related services, and have already begun to add them to our permanent offerings list. Additionally, we're excited to announce that we're now making custom stencils for corporate events, which is a great way to add branding and a personal touch to your next event!
WHAT ONE PIECE OF ADVICE WOULD YOU LIKE TO OFFER SOMEONE THINKING OF ENTERING INTO YOUR FIELD?
One piece of advice that I would offer to someone thinking of entering the face painting field is to be patient and practice as much as possible. Developing your skills as a face painter takes time and dedication, and it's important to be persistent and not get discouraged if your early attempts don't turn out exactly as you had hoped. Additionally, I would recommend making connections with other face painters in your area or online. This can be a great way to learn new techniques, get feedback on your work, and build a community of like-minded individuals who share your passion for face painting
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE ASPECT ABOUT WORKING IN THE LOCAL AREA?
My favourite aspect about working in the local area is the opportunity to work closely with the community and get to know our clients' specific needs and preferences. Being based in the local area also means less travel time, which allows us to do more community-based face painting and be more involved in local events. Additionally, seeing familiar and regular faces at events is always a pleasure, and it's wonderful to be able to build long-term relationships with clients and become a familiar part of their celebrations
WHAT ENCOURAGED YOU TO JOIN HAMPSTEAD HIVE AND WHAT HAS YOUR EXPERIENCE WITHIN THE HIVEBEEN LIKE SO FAR?
I was encouraged to join Hampstead Hive because I was looking for a supportive community of like-minded business owners in my local area. Since joining, my experience within the Hive has been fantastic. The other members are very supportive and there's a real sense of camaraderie and collaboration. After the challenges posed by the COVID pandemic, Jessica and Nikita, the founders of the Hive, have been hosting coffee mornings, social events, and meet-ups very often, which has been a great way to promote our businesses and get to know other lovely members. I'm thrilled to be a part of such a supportive and dynamic community!.
