Hi Hampstead, I’m Rimmy and have been advising on immigration law for 25 years. My immigration practice Bedi Law was established in 2014 and is based in Perrin’s Court. Bedi Law is a boutique immigration practice providing client focussed immigration advice and guidance to families, individuals, and businesses across the UK and overseas.
For families and individuals, the services we offer include family applications, visit visas plus settlement and citizenship. For businesses we assist with sponsor licence applications, work visas and compliance.
WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST BUSINESS ACHIEVMENT SO FAR?
When I left the corporate world in 2014 to establish my practice, it was both daunting and exciting and I had no idea where it would lead. Now entering my tenth year, the time has flown by, and it is a great feeling looking back on the last decade of delivering positive life changes for my clients.
Having clients who have had cases refused prior to speaking with me and being able to turn these into positive decisions is immensely satisfying especially when other lawyers have advised the case has no merit.
I have trained solicitors and barristers on immigration law for two decades now. Immigration law is ever changing as such being able to advise clients on the impact of upcoming changes allows us to ensure success. Only last week a leading immigration judge called me for advice on a work visa query, so to be regarded as the go to person in the field is a great achievement.
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE NEXT?
In addition to continuing to build my reputation and immigration practice locally I am considering expansion within other UK regions. Other exciting news is that my husband has established his chartered accountancy practice also in Hampstead, helping my clients and the local community.
Being able to offer my clients additional services from a trusted partner is a great next step for Bedi Law.
WHAT ONE PIECE OF ADVICE WOULD YOU LIKE TO OFFER SOMEONE THINKING OF ENTERING INTO YOUR FIELD?
Being successful in obtaining the right visa can really change someone’s life, so supporting clients through their immigration journey is key. It is important the client is advised of all the options and merits at the outset, to ensure successful outcomes. Always manage client expectations.
What is your favourite aspect about working in the local area?
Living and working in Hampstead has enabled me to assist many in the local neighbourhood on their immigration needs.
Having an office in Perrin’s Court ensures I am well connected to the local community, and can meet clients face to face at timings that work around their family and work commitments.
